Dayton, Ohio Ranks High in Midwest as a Retirement City

According to On Numbers (a Business Journals affiliate), Dayton, Ohio ranked #32 as a retirement spot in the Midwest (ahead of Cincinnati, Columbus and Toled0).

Dayton seniors make up 15.1% of the Dayton population with 47% of the local seniors born outside of Ohio.  The median age in Dayton is 39.2 years.

To create the ranking, On Numbers included total percentage of local seniors, median age and number of seniors born out of state. Higher rankings were awarded to areas with a substantial senior population that is growing.

Where is the top place for seniors in the Midwest? Branson, Missouri, the live music show capital of the world!

Cincinnati, Ohio ranked at #67 with 12.24% of a senior population, a median age of 47.1 and 43.64% born out of state.
