Cincinnati’s Washington Park located in Over-the-Rhine has received national recognition by the City Park Alliance. This organization bestowed the title of “Frontline Park” for the month and is highlighting Washington Park for its urban park excellence.
About Washington Park’s Transformation
The renovation of the park started in 2006-2007 and was unveiled on July 6, 2012. The 1860s park received a $48 million major facelift that included expansion to eight acres, a new underground parking garage, fenced dog park area, performance stage, civic lawn area, playground and several water features for young and old.
