About Loveland, Ohio, the Sweetheart of Ohio
Loveland was first settled by Colonel Paxton who built the first log cabin in the town. In 1850, the son-in-law of Paxton established Loveland, named after James Loveland (who owned a store and post office near the railroad.) The area grew through the rail service with 40 passenger trains stopping by daily. (The Little Miami Railroad is now the Little Miami Scenic Trail.)
Did you know? Loveland is located in three counties: Hamilton, Clermont and Warren.
The town has annual events almost every month of the year including a Valentine Breakfast and Art Show. A must-see in Loveland is the Chateau La Roche Loveland Castle. This 5,000 square foot medieval castle was built to one-fifth scale. It includes a princess room and dungeon.
