For the second year in a row, Cincinnati, Ohio was ranked as NerdWallet’s best city for consumer banking. Why?
- Cincinnatians use local banks to manage and improve personal finances
- There are more than 120 bank branches per 100,000 people (the highest number in the study)
- Over 70 banks and credit unions operate in the area
- The average checking fee is $8.24 monthly (below the national average), but there are many fee-free accounts in our area
The ranking took into consideration how stable the local banks and credit unions were and the variety of available banking options. Bank fees and average savings account earnings were also part of this study.
