Dayton February Home Sales Report – Average Sale Price Increases


The sale of homes in Dayton for February 2014 was down just slightly as compared to February 2013. The bitter cold, ice and snow during the entire month kept many buyers away from looking at homes.

Dayton had 43.4 inches of snow fall from December 2013 through February 2014. This Meteorological Winter was the third snowiest in history. From Fall 2013 through March 2014 to date, 50.4 inches of snow has blanketed the area. (Stats from the National Weather Service Forecast Office.)

February 2014 versus February 2013

  • 2.62% Increase in Median Sales Price ($90,302 versus $88,000)
  • 1.82% Increase in Average Sales Price ($113,497 versus $111,472)
  • -2.29% Decrease in Sales Units (754 versus 807)
  • -4.87% Decrease in Sales Volume
