Southeastern Indiana Home Sales For February – Homes Are Selling in Less Time from Last Year

Due to extreme winter conditions, home sales were down in Southeastern Indiana for February 2014. (See how much snow the region had here.)

February 2014 versus February 2013

  • 3% Decrease in Sales Units (62 versus 64)
  • 19% Decrease in Median Sale Price ($101,500 versus $125,319)
  • 5.29% Decrease in Average Sale Price ($117,866 versus $124,457)

There is positive news about days on market time – the average days on market for February 2014 was 163 days down from 171 days in February 2013.

Year-To-Date Jan-Feb 2014 versus Year-To-Date Jan-Feb  2013

  • 13.7% Decrease in Sales Units (126 versus 146)
  • .46%  Increase in Average Sale Price ($121,771 versus $121,212)
  • 10.7% Decrease in Median Sale Price ($98,700 versus $110,600)
