Southeastern Indiana Homes Have Over 19 Percent Increase in Sale Volume in June

Home sales in Southeastern Indiana saw a 19.77% increase in sales volume in June 2014. The region also enjoyed a 15% increase in average home sale price. Sales units of homes increased by 4%. Here is a breakdown of the statistics:

June 2014 versus June 2013

  • 19.77% Increase in gross sales volume
  • 15% Increase in average home sale price ($156,461 vs $135,854)
  • 14% Increase in median sale price ($147,250 vs $129,000)
  • 4.0% Increase in home sales (104 homes vs 100 homes

January – June 2014 versus January – June 2013

  • 6% Increase in gross sales volume
  • 7% Increase in median sale price ($124,200 vs $116,500)
  • -4% Decrease in home sales (484 homes vs 504 homes)

  • $236,167 Average sale price – $79,706  higher than the board’s overall average
  • $209,500 Median sale price – $62,250 higher than the board’s overall average

  • 12.92% Increase in gross sales volume from 2013
  • $204,612 Average home sale price  – $48,151 higher than the board’s overall average
  • $169,000 Median sale price – $21,750 higher than the board’s overall average
