Being right near the heart of bourbon country, it should come as no surprise that the Greater Cincinnati area is home to four of the region’s best bourbon bars according to
The Bourbon Review. Only the Century Bar in Dayton, Ohio made the list last year, so the local bourbon scene is on the rise. Here’s a quick run-down of the four local bars to
make list:

Old Kentucky Bourbon Bar – Covington, KY (Bourbon Country)
If you enjoy bourbon in all its stages and varieties OKBB is a must. This is a great place to learn a little more about bourbon from their knowledgeable staff and they have plenty of varieties on hand to inform your tastebuds as well.

Wiseguy LoungeCovington, KY (Bourbon Country)
While Wiseguy Lounge doesn’t limit their selection to bourbon, everything about the place screams bourbon bar. Amber lighting, dark wood, leather couches… oh yeah, and a lot of bourbon. It doesn’t hurt that they are located directly above Goodfellas Pizzaria. Yum!

Japp’sCincinnati, OH (Midwest Region)
Japp’s in Over-the-Rhine and OKBB are both owned by mixologist Molly Wellmann,
so you will receive the same great service and expertise from well-versed bartenders. There are no TVs in the bar, so go prepared to enjoy conversation, music, and
of course, bourbon.

Century BarDayton, OH (Midwest Region)
The Bourbon Review said Century Bar could be “the most underrated bourbon bar in
the country” and it certainly has the style and bourbon selection to back up such an endorsement. With over 75 bourbon selections alone, not to mention their whiskey,
wine and beer options, Century Bar may very well be the best bourbon bar in Ohio.
