- Bethesda North ranked #1 locally and #3 in Ohio
- Good Samaritan ranked #2 locally and #7 in Ohio
- Christ and University of Cincinnati Medical Center tied #3 locally; Christ is #8 and UC Medical Center is #9 in Ohio
- St. Elizabeth Edgewood is #5 locally and #2 in Kentucky
- Jewish Hospital Mercy is #6 locally and #20 in Ohio
- West Chester Hospital is #7 locally and #24 in Ohio
- Fort Hamilton Hospital is #8 locally and #29 in Ohio
- St. Elizabeth Florence is #9 locally and #7 in Kentucky
In Dayton, Ohio…
- Kettering Medical Center and Miami Valley Hospital both ranked #17 in Ohio
- Good Samaritan Hospital and Heath Center ranked #20 in Ohio
- Grandview Medical Center ranked #27 in Ohio
- Greene Memorial Hospital ranked #32 in Ohio
Patient safety accounts for 10% of each hospital’s overall score for most specialties. Other factors included reputation, survival rates, adequacy of nurse staffing and patient volume.

- #29 gastroenterology/GI surgery
- #36 orthopedics
- #38 geriatrics
