Cases For Love Collects 5,500 Suitcases For Area Foster Children

CasesLove2
Cases For Love, a community outreach program that collected new and gently used suitcases for area foster children, has collected 5,500 suitcases!

The suitcase campaign ran from January 5 – February 14, 2015 with a goal of 1,200 suitcases. The response from the public was amazing. The community dropped off suitcases to all Sibcy Cline locations as well as Second Story Auctions in Blue Ash and University Moving and Storage in West Chester.

Sibcy Cline conference rooms were filled to their ceilings with hundreds of suitcases dropped off weekly.

How wonderful that children will now be able to move their belongings in their own suitcase. Sibcy Cline is proud and happy to have been a part of Cases For Love.

Our Thanks
We would like to thank Julie Phillippi-Whitney of Phillippi-Whitney Communications for creating Cases For Love. It was her inspiration that got the ball rolling for this community project.

University Moving and Storage Company was also a major partner with Cases For Love and picked up and stored all of the suitcases during the campaign. Mark Bruns, President of the company, reports that the suitcases filled one and a half moving trailer trucks.

Sibcy Cline’s agents were also an integral part of the suitcase campaign. They contacted their clients, friends and family for donations. Many agents volunteered to personally pick up suitcases from people’s homes.

The local media played a very important role in Cases For Love to help get the word out. All Cincinnati television stations broadcast numerous stories about the campaign, as did WLW-Radio, the Community Press, Dayton Daily News, Hamilton Journal and Cincinnati Enquirer.
