April 2015 home sales rose 3.29% in Northern Kentucky! During the month there were also 964 new residential listings for sale – which is good news for the prior shortage of homes available for sale.
In addition, the number of homes that went sold pending (under contract to purchase) was the highest since April 2010: 694 homes vs 770 homes in 2010. Here are the statistics for the month:
April 2015 vs April 2014
- 3.29% Increase in home sales units (534 vs 517)
- -.071% Decrease in average sale price ($150,903 vs $151,987)
- -.057% Decrease in median sale price ($133,000 vs $133,760)
- 2.55% Increase in sales volume
- 86 average days on market (vs 83 in 2014)
January – April 2015 vs January – April 2014
- -.06% Decrease in home sales units (1,653 vs 1,654)
- 5.21% Increase in average sale price ($152,960 vs $145,386)
- 8.06% Increase in median sale price ($134,000 vs $124,000)
- 5.15% Increase in sales volume
- 82 average days on market (vs 86 in 2014)
It’s a great time to sell and buy a new home. In Northern Kentucky, 41% (of the 534 homes sold in April) were sold in the first 30 days on the market for 97.51% of list price.
