Cincinnati’s Arnold’s Bar and Grill was named Ohio’s most iconic bar by Thrillist (a travel and entertainment website.)
Arnold’s has been around since 1861 and is Cincinnati’s oldest tavern. It’s an eclectic place featuring lots of art and old-school fixtures. Consisting of two buildings, the bar room was originally a barbershop and a feed store. During prohibition Arnold’s added a kitchen and became a cafe. (Legend says that an upstairs bathtub was filled with gin.)
