Second Story Auctions Reaches One Million Dollars in Sales

Going! Going! Gone! Second Story Auctions exceeded the one million dollar sales mark in early August 2016. The e-commerce website has been featuring weekly auction sales for household items since October 2014.

The Second Story Auction bidder base has quadrupled in size since opening its doors for business. Bidders are both local and from out of state  with many collectors following the weekly auction sales. All bidders are notified via e-mail of weekly auctions after signing up for notifications.

Who consigns with Second Story Auctions? Some consignors are selling their homes. They are either preparing their homes to be “market ready” for sale or have already sold their houses and need to quickly rid their homes of unwanted items.

Other consignors are not moving at all and are simply clearing out their homes. The online auction website has also hosted fundraisers as well as entire estates as consignors.

The bottom line – Second Story Auctions is the easy and profitable answer to shed one’s home of no-longer-needed items.

How does it work? A personal auction assistant is available to help consignors figure out what items to sell and which to donate. Auctions can be held “on site” for whole-house sales or items can be brought to the company’s Blue Ash warehouse.

Here is what a few people who have consigned items with Second Story Auctions have to say:

“I would appreciate it if you would pass on my gratitude to all the staff at Second Story.  Everyone has been very helpful and the sale preparation was extremely professional. Of course, I will have no hesitation in passing on your name to both potential buyers and sellers.”

“We can’t thank you enough for handling the sale of our home furnishings. From the first meeting we knew were in good hands and would be well taken care of. We both feel lucky and blessed to have been able to relocated to our new home is such a short time frame and it was mostly due to your help.”

To date, the most expensive item sold was an Hermes alligator handbag ($18,000). Another memorable item was a series of seven pictures that contained a history of love tucked on the back with hand-written letters between a wife and husband. That’s part of what is so enjoyable about Second Story Auctions – each item has its own story to tell.
