Dayton, Ohio Home Sales Rose Almost Ten Percent in September!

Dayton Ohio Downtown City Skyline Great Miami RiverDayton, Ohio home sales were robust in September 2016 with a 9.56% increase as compared to September 2015. Year-to-date, sales are up 9.7%.

September 2016 vs September 2015

  • 9.56% Increase in home sales (1,478 homes vs 1,349 homes)
  • 13.88% Increase in sales volume
  • .93% Increase in % sale-to-list price (97.7% vs 96.8%)
  • 2.4% Increase in median sales price ($129,950 vs $123,000)
  • 3.94% Increase in average sales price ($146,477 vs $140,924)

January – September 2016 vs January – September 2015

  • 9.70% Increase in home sales (12,237 homes vs 11,155 homes)
  • 13.69% Increase in sales volume
  • 1.04% Increase in % sale-to-list price (97.7% vs 96.69%)
  • 5.42% Increase in median sales price ($126,500 vs $120,000)
  • 3.64% Increase in average sales price ($146,808 vs $141,652)

There is a low inventory of homes for sale. With low interest rates and a high demand for homes, homes are selling quickly if priced correctly and in move-in condition.
