Northern Kentucky Home Sales Breaking Records for 2016!

nkyhomesalesIn Northern Kentucky, 2016 home sales broke all-time records with home sales and dollar volume: 7,029 homes closed – which was an increase of 10.48% and the highest number of homes ever sold. Dollar volume rose 17.12% over 2015 and was the highest ever at $1,224,052,128.

December 2016 vs December 2015

  • -.91% Decrease in sales units (542 homes vs 547 homes)
  • 4.66% Increase in average sale price ($169,276 vs $161,741)
  • 3.93% Increase in median sale price ($145,500 vs $140,000)
  • 3.70% Increase in sale volume ($91,747,894 vs $88,472,606)

January – December 2016 vs January – December 2015

  • 10.48% Increase in sales units (7,029 homes vs 6,362 homes)
  • 6.01% Increase in average sale price ($174,143 vs $164,277
  • 5.26% Increase in median sale price ($150,000 vs $142,500)
  • 17.12% Increase in sale volume ($1,224,052,128 vs $1,045,135,827)

There is a low inventory of available homes for sale. With higher average sale prices, along with still-low mortgage rates, now may be the best time to sell your home.
