Cincinnati Sets a Record for Average Sale Price in February 2017

Map of Cincinnati OhioWith strong home sales, the Cincinnati, Ohio region set a February record for its average home sale price at $180,372. Here are the statistics:

February 2017 vs February 2016

  • 12.14% Increase in average sale price ($180,372 vs $160,839)
  • 6.33% Increase in median sale price ($138,500 vs $130,250)
  • -3.73 Decrease in home sales (1,407 homes vs 1,462 homes)
  • 7.93% Increase in sales volume ($254,783,557 vs $235,147,121)

January – February 2017 vs January – February 2016

  • 10.53% Increase in average sale price ($180,626 vs $163,415)
  • 10.04% Increase in median sale price ($141,950 vs $129,000)
  • .32 Increase in home sales (2,858 homes vs 2,849 homes)
  • 10.88% Increase in sales volume ($516,227,932 vs $465,569,061)

Although mortgage interest rates have increased, they are still low. There is still a shortage of available homes for sale and many homes for sale are selling quickly.
