When is it time for ice cream? Anytime! Spring, however, is known as the start of “soft-serve ice cream season”. Many small-business ice cream shops are re-opening their doors at this time to sell their tasty treats. Most call them “creamy whip”, “whippy dip” or “dairy whip” and that just means it’s soft-serve style ice cream swirled into a cone or cup.
Be sure to try a local creamy whip or two this spring and summer. Add a chocolate dip top, sprinkles, flavored syrup, flavor bursts – or enjoy a simple cone.
