The Quest for Listings and Sales Contest – a Success!

Sibcy Cline’s annual listing and sales contest was a great success. During the 10-week challenge, agents acquired points by obtaining listings and sales, hosting open houses, attending learning and call sessions, attending office meeting and sending referrals. The contest celebration breakfast was held on May 2, 2019 with almost 300 agents in attendance. These Sibcy Cline agents were excited to see each other and have some fun.

The three semi finalists were:

  • Team Hamilton (Regina, Gary and Jesse) – Harrison

Rob Sibcy – Named to Cincinnati Magazine’s 300 Most Powerful Business Leaders List

Rob Sibcy, Chairman of the Board for Sibcy Cline Realtors, was named as part of Cincinnati Magazine’s “300 – The Most Powerful Business Leaders.” The magazine studied the region’s largest public, private and nonprofit companies “…knowing that those leading the most powerful businesses are powerful themselves.”

The magazine asked all of the leaders to share personal stories. Here are the 11 questions from Cincinnati Magazine to Rob Sibcy:

1. Where did you grow up? Kenwood, then moved to Indian Hill when I was 14 years old.

2. Education? Started at Concord School on Montgomery Road and graduated to Indian Hill and was a graduate of Indian Hill High School. I attended Washington & Jefferson College and graduated with a business degree.

3. Why did you choose this field of work? I chose real estate because my father was a Realtor and I liked the idea of being my own boss and having my success depend on my effort.

4. First job? My first job out a of college was getting real estate license and selling real estate for my father’s company.

5. Toughest challenge faced or lesson learned? The toughest part about real estate sales was learning what to do and how to do it. It was a small company when I started selling and there was no training department, so I had to teach myself. I learned you could ask anyone a question and learn very fast.

6. Best advice received? The best advice I got was once, when I was complaining to my father how hard it was, he looked at me and said, “If it was easy everyone would do it and nobody would make any money.” I never complained again.

7. What you’d tell a recent college graduate about entering your field of business: We see new college graduates all the time and tell them if you go through our training and are willing to work, we can help you be a success. Our business is one that can last a lifetime if you are willing to work.

8. Favorite hobbies or leisure activities: Over the years my favorite sport is playing golf. My friends and I don’t take it too seriously and we have a lot of laughs as we play.

9. Favorite Greater Cincinnati attraction: Cincinnati has a lot of great attractions making it a great place to live and raise a family. One of the best family values for the whole family is the Cincinnati Zoo.

10. Favorite Greater Cincinnati charity: My wife and I have been on many boards and charities and all have been for great causes. The one that she is currently involved with is the Lindner Center of HOPE and the Sibcy House which we were able to be a part of from its founding and continue to be involved.

11. Favorite Greater Cincinnati restaurant: Cincinnati is fortunate to have some great restaurants. One of my favorites is from the past: The Maisonette – it was owned by friends and we loved going there. Currently two that we visit often are Embers and Trio’s.

Sibcy Cline Marketing Campaign Wins First Place!

A 2018 relocation marketing campaign earned first place for “Referral Promotions” at the 2019 Leading Real Estate Companies of the World annual conference.

The large-scale campaign was created by Amanda Moore (Social Media & PR Specialist) and Jane Bobel (Marketing Representative and Graphic Designer). The concept was inspired by vintage travel maps and postcards. The campaign included printable signs, postcards, e-postcards, and a branch relocation passport. (The campaign even included a custom #leadingREtravels “stamp” on all pieces.)

Sibcy Cline agents and employees were encouraged to use special signs to show all the places you could move to with Sibcy Cline’s partnership with LeadingRE. These pictures were then compiled and made into a Facebook cover photo:

Travel “souvenir” postcards (and e-postcards) from Florida, North Carolina, Texas and Las Vegas were sent to all Sibcy Cline agents to inform them of upcoming LeadingRE events and services available at Sibcy Cline Relocation Services. The states selected are Sibcy Cline’s most popular outgoing referral states.

It was a very clever and well-executed campaign that was very deserving of a first-place honor. Robin Sheakley, president of Sibcy Cline, was even asked to be a panelist at the conference to chat and share details about it.

Says Tammy Young, Sibcy Cline’s Relocation Director, “We were thrilled with the interactive campaign from social media to mailed postcards to passport signs in the branch offices and even e-postcards. It was a fun way to remind everyone to send those referrals!”

Sibcy Cline’s Website Earns Two Awards from Leading Real Estate Companies of the World

Sibcy Cline’s website – www.sibcycline.com – earned several awards recently from Leading Real Estate Companies of the World (LRECW) and their web quality certification (WQC) process.

Sibcy Cline’s website was submitted to receive re-certification for WQC and earned the certification in February 2019. This designation recognizes LRECW member websites that demonstrate best practices in a variety of critical areas relating to website performance, including usability, design, content, interactivity, customer service and mobile responsiveness. Participating websites are evaluated by Virtual Results, LLC, a real estate internet and social marketing firm. Sibcy Cline’s website was among 120 real estate sites to earn this certification.

Sibcy Cline’s website earned top marks for its usability, mobile responsiveness, design and content, SEO rankings and compliance.

Most Effective SEO Strategy Award
With the WQC certification process, Sibcy Cline also earned the honor of “Most Effective SEO Strategy.” Sibcy Cline’s website was noted for having a search engine optimization approach that makes it easy for consumers to find the website, with competitive positioning on popular search engines, unique content focusing on key markets, effective incorporation of social media and other tactics.

Based on the WQC analysis, Sibcy Cline’s website earned a second honor of  “Overall Website Traffic Leader” for generating the most traffic from our site to the other affiliates of the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® network worldwide by offering local website visitors the opportunity to search for properties in other parts of the country and the world.
