Cincinnati home sales remained very strong in December with a 6.02% increase as compared to home sales in December 2015. Overall for 2016, homes sales increased 7.46% for the year.

In 2016 home sales (with 26,114 units sold) almost matched the record-breaking year of 2005 when sales peaked at 26,553 units. Throughout 2016, nine out of 12 months had record-high average prices of homes.

• 6.43% Increase in average sale price ($190,339 vs $178,837)

January – December 2016 vs January – December 2015

• 7.46% Increase in sales units (26,114 homes vs 24,302 homes)
• 13.45% Increase in sales volume ($4,983,121,991 vs $4,392,271,525)
• 5.58% Increase in average sale price ($198,882 vs $180,737)
• 6.68% Increase in median sale price ($151,851 vs $142,345)
