October 2019 home sales set a record for the highest number of sales in over 10 years for that month.

  • 7.59% Increase in homes sold (2,241 homes vs 2,083 homes)
  • 3.22% Increase in average sale price ($220,848 vs $213,967)
  • 4.77% Increase in median sale price ($178,000 vs $169,900)
  • 11.05% Increase in gross sales volume ($494,920,593 vs $445,693,300)

January–October 2019 vs January–October 2018

  • -.22% Decrease in homes sold (21,953 homes vs 22,001 homes)
  • 5.10% Increase in average sale price ($225,812 vs $214,855)
  • 5.75% Increase in median sale price ($184,000 vs $174,000)
  • 4.87% Increase in gross sales volume ($4,957,250,578 vs $4,727,031,368)

Dayton

In September, the Dayton area saw gains in the number of homes sold along with average and median sale prices.

  • 7.90% Increase in average sale price ($178,412 vs $165,344)
  • 5.26% Increase in median sale price ($150,000 vs $142,500)

  • 1.05% Increase in homes sold (14,048 homes vs 13,902 homes)
  • 6.83% Increase in average sale price ($177,081 vs $165,766)

Northern Kentucky

Average home price increased by over 11 percent in October.
