It’s going to be a great weekend to be out and about. And, it you live in Dayton, Ohio, and are feeling a little German, then plan on attending the Oktoberfest. It’s from September 27-29, 2013 at The Dayton Art Institute.

Great news from the Dayton Arts Institute – 2012 was a record year for attendance in more than 5 years. 144,000 people visited this museum up from 123,000 in 2011.

For Valentine’s Day, the Dayton Art Institute is celebrating “love” with an event called, An Affair to Remember. It’s a dance to smooth jazz with a dessert buffet and cash bar . The old-time-classic movie, An Affair to Remember will be played on a large screen. For ticket information, go here.
About the Dayton Art Institute
The museum is located on a hill overlooking the Great Miami River and downtown Dayton. The 16th century Italian Renaissance-style building was completed in 1930 and is modeled after Villa d’Este near Rome and Villa Farnese at Caprarola. The collection at the museum spans 5,000 years in history.
