We cannot wait to hear what everyone has to say about this movie. Keep your eyes open for “signs” of Sibcy Cline! There are several shots of Sibcy Cline throughout the film.

John Kiesewetter’s blog from Friday, October 7, 2011, mentions that the film’s art department recreated our Sibcy Cline location while filming in Detroit. Read this article. (This blog is talks about the fact that the movie forgot to cite “Cincinnati” in closing credits. Oops.)

By George, we still love George Clooney — credits or no credits!

Watch this movie. Go two times — the first time to see Sibcy Cline and area locations. And the second time to watch the plot!

Ides of March Starts October 7, 2011!

It’s almost….showtime!

George Clooney’s suspenseful movie, Ides of March, is coming to the big screen nationally  on Friday, October 7, 2011. And, the great news is that…. Sibcy Cline Realtors is in four scenes!

Of course you are going to see many Cincinnati area landmarks, too, including Fountain Square, Riverside Drive, Memorial Hall, Fourth Street, Roebling Suspension Bridge, Miami University, Xavier University and Lunken Airport. Read more about what Cincinnati sites you will see in the movie. John Kiesewetter of The Enquirer also personally  interviewed George Clooney about the Cincinnati connection for the movie.

The movie is generating “talk” of Oscar nominations with a plot that focuses on Ryan Gosling’s character  who is torn between aligning himself between two political campaigns. George Clooney plays the role of a state governor.

Sibcy Cline’s Metropolitan office located on Sixth Street was replicated for the Ides of March for the filming of the movie that occurred in Detroit, Michigan. There are three scenes in the movie that you will see this Sibcy Cline office. There is also a scene that was shot in Northside that showcases a Sibcy Cline For Sale sign.

Get your movie ticket, popcorn and beverage and go to the movies to see Ides of March and Sibcy Cline, too!

George Clooney Ides of March Movie – See Our Sign!

George Clooney released the trailer movie clip for Ideas of March today. When you watch the clip, you can see a Sibcy Cline sign at 1:47 for about a half of a second. (Do not blink. We recommend watching the scene with a full monitor view!) It is a scene in which Ryan Gosling is driving a car.  We lightened up a “screen save” of the scene so you can get a better view of our sign!

Ides of March will be in theaters on October 7, 2011. The film looks like it is going to be a full of suspense as it’s all about dirty politics on the campaign trail. George Clooney is starring as Governor Mike Morris and Ryan Gosling plays an idealistic staffer. Other stars include Marisa Tomei, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Evan Rachel Wood and Paul Giamatti.

Many scenes of this movie were filmed in Cincinnati and Sibcy Cline Realtors was part of several background scenes. Filming included our “for sale” sign in front of one of our listed properties in Northside; and a replication of our Metropolitan store front office for scenes filmed in Detroit, Michigan.

Mark your calendars for October 7th and be among the first to see the film. Plan on wearing your Sibcy Cline red that day! We cannot wait to see how many scenes Sibcy Cline has in the movie.
