Average Home Sale Price Rises Almost Four Percent in Cincinnati in July

Bridge_Dawn_Fog.jpgCincinnati home sales are still strong with the average home sale price up 3.69% in July as compared to July 2015. Home unit sales dropped just a bit by 3.1% when compared to a record-setting July 2015. Year-to-date, home unit sales have risen 5.28%

July 2016 vs July 2015

  • 3.69% Increase in average sale price ($198,758 vs $189,758)
  • -3.14% Decrease in home sales (2,529 homes vs 2,611 homes)
  • .44% Increase in sales volume
  • 4.30% Increase in median sale price ($157,500 vs $151,000)

January – July 2016 vs January – July 2015

  • 19.37 Increase in average sale price (218,182 vs $182,771)
  • 5.28% Increase in home sales (15,043 homes vs 14,288 homes)
  • 25.68% Increase in sales volume
  • 5.23% Increase in median sale price ($151,000 vs $143,500)

Cincinnati Home Sales Still Strong in June

BlueBridge_Downtown.jpgHome sales in June 2016 for the Cincinnati region were still strong with 2,838 homes selling. Although this was a 2.39% decrease as compared to June 2015, the average sale price increased by 6.25% to $212,785. Here are the statistics:

June 2016 vs June 2015

  • -2.39% Decrease in sales units (2,738 homes vs 2,805 homes)
  • 3.71% Increase in gross sales volume
  • 6.25% Increase in average sale price ($212,785 vs $200,269)
  • 9.15% Increase in median sale price ($167,000 vs $153,000)

January – June 2016 vs January – June 2015

  • 6.5% Increase in sales units (12,488 homes vs 11,677 homes)
  • 11.20% Increase in gross sales volume
  • 3.98% Increase in average sale price ($188,420 vs $181,209)
  • 6.38% Increase in median sale price (150,000 vs $141,000)

The inventory of homes for sale remains low with a 21.7% decrease from June 2015.

Cincinnati February 2016 Home Sales Are Up

Cincinnati Ohio at Sunrise Reflected in the Ohio RiverHome sales in Cincinnati rose 3.1 percent in February as compared to February 2015. Here are the statistics:

February 2016 vs February 2015

  • 3.08% Increase in sold homes (1,400 homes vs 1,397 homes)
  • 4.51% Increase in home sales volume
  • 1.39% Increase in average sale price ($161,686 vs $159,468)
  • 4.80% Increase in median sale price ($131,000 vs $125,000)

January – February 2016 vs January – February 2015

  • 6.66% Increase in sold homes (2,820 homes vs 2,644 homes)
  • 8.54% Increase in home sales volume
  • 1.77% Increase in average sale price ($163,961 vs $161,117)
  • 6.52% Increase in median sale price ($129,950 vs $122,000)

Mortgage Interest rates are still low. The average price of homes has climbed due to the low inventory of homes available for sale. There is a strong demand for quality homes. August Home Sales Up Almost Eight Percent in Cincinnati!

August home sales rose in Cincinnati with a 7.8% increase as compared to August 2014. Mortgage rates are still low and the inventory of homes for sale remains low. It is a great time to sell your old home and purchase a new one.

  • 5.27% Increase in sales volume

June Home Sales in Cincinnati Are Up Over 13 Percent!


Home sales rose in Cincinnati in June with a 13.23% increase. The average sale price of homes set a new record for June with $199,954. This average price has increased (year-over-year) for 40 consecutive months.

The inventory of homes for sale has seen a continued declining trend. There were 8,807 homes for sale as of June 30, 2015 (vs 9,896 in June 2014.)
