Dayton Home Sales Rise 15 Percent in February 2016

February 2016 vs February 2015

  • 15.09% Increase in homes sold (801 homes vs 696 homes)
  • 18.97% Increase in sales volume
  • 10.49% Increase in median sales price ($108,000 vs $97,750)
  • 4.68% Increase in average sale price ($123,836 vs $118,298)

January – February 2016 vs January – February 2015

  • 19.93% Increase in  homes sold (1,643 homes vs 1,370 homes)
  • 18.21% Increase in sales volume
  • 0% Increase in median sales price ($105,500 vs $105,500)
  • -4.6% Decrease in average sale price ($124,399 vs $124,973)

There is currently a tight inventory of homes for sale in Dayton. Mortgage interest rates remain low.  Home values are are rising.

Dayton Home Sales Rise 14 Percent in August

The Dayton area experienced sales gains in August with a 14% surge in home sales units for the month as compared to August 2014.

August 2015 vs August 2014

  • 14% Increase in home sales units (1,384 vs 1,214)
  • 16.37% Increase in sales volume
  • 2.07% Increase in average sale price ($145,872 vs $142,908)

January – August 2015 vs January – August 2014

  • 11.96% Increase in home sales units (9,764 vs 8,721)
  • 19.02% Increase in sales volume
  • 6.31% Increase in average sale price ($141,804 vs $133,393)

It’s a great time to sell and buy a home in Dayton. Home values are rising and mortgage interest rates are still low. Due to the low number of homes available for sale, homes are selling quickly.
