Local home sales report Dec 2020

Home sales increased for all regions in December. In Greater Cincinnati, the area set a record for the most home sales of any December. In Northern Kentucky, sales records for 2020 broke previous records for homes sales and volume. In the Dayton region, homes ended the year increasing 12% in December with sale volume improving by over 28% for the month.

Mortgage rates are low. Home values are high. It’s a great time to list your home for sale and for buyers to find their dream home.

CINCINNATI / SOUTHEASTERN INDIANA

  • 21.04% Increase in homes sold (2,267 homes vs 1,873 homes)
  • 12% Increase in average sale price ($254,705 vs $227,242)
  • 19.44% Increase in median sale price ($215,000 vs $180,000)
  • 35.66% Increase in gross sales volume ($577,416,950 vs $425,623,937)

January–December 2020 vs January–December 2019

  • 3.55% Increase in homes sold (26,687 homes vs 25,772 homes)
  • 9.51% Increase in average sale price ($247,626 vs $226,124)
  • 12.5% Increase in median sale price ($207,000 vs $184,000)
  • 13.4% Increase in gross sales volume ($6,608,397,521 vs $5,827,659,825)

Average Home Sale Price Up Seven Percent in Northern Kentucky for July

Ky_BluegrassSign.jpgThe average home sale price for homes in Northern Kentucky rose 7.24% when compared to July 2015. Although home sales were down 4.37% in July as compared to the same time last year, year-to-date home sales have increased by 8.81%.

Northern Kentucky Home Sales Up 24 Percent in February 2016

Ky_BluegrassSignHomes are selling in Northern Kentucky! The region had a 23.57% increase in home sales as compared to February 2015. Here are the statistics:

February 2016 vs February 2015

  • 23.57% Increase in homes sold (388 homes vs 314 homes)
  • 1.06% Increase in average sale price ($152,382 vs $150,788)
  • -3.8% Decrease in median sale price ($130,750 vs $131,250)
  • 24.88% Increase in sales volume

January- February 2016 vs January – February 2015

  • 12.54% Increase in homes sold (691 homes vs 614 homes)
  • 7.37% Increase in average sale price ($157,909 vs $147,072)
  • 6.63% Increase in median sale price ($137,750 vs $128,950)
  • 20.84% Increase in sales volume

With a low inventory of homes available on the market for sale, the average sale price has increased. Many new listings are selling quickly in a short time on the market. Mortgage interest rates remain low.

Northern Kentucky Home Sales Up 26 Percent

Homes are selling in Northern Kentucky! The Northern Kentucky Association of Realtors has reported a 26% increase in May sales as compared to May 2012.

  • 16% increase in average sale price ($173,831) as compared to May 2012
  • 589 homes sold in May (the most for a single month since August 2007) – 26% increase
  • 8% increase in average home price at $152,250
