It’s almost time to wear your green and show off your Irish side! Here are some local events where you can celebrate everything Irish (even if you don’t have roots from the Emerald Isle):

Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky

  • Yelp has posted a list of Irish pubs to visit here.
  • The St. Patrick’s Day parade is a yearly tradition for the past 49 years! (March 14, 2015 – downtown Cincinnati at 12pm)
  • Fountain Square is celebrating on March 14th from 10am -10pm. Enjoy Celtic rock bans, Irish beer and food, dancing and more!
  • The Irish Heritage Center is celebrating on March 17 from 3pm -midnight. Enjoy music, dancing, and food!
  • The Cincinnati Museum Center is hosting the 16th annual Celtic Lands Culture Fest on March 21st. Enjoy art, folklore, dancers and music along with some great Irish food!

Northern Kentucky Home Sales Increased Almost 24 Percent in September 2013

Northern Kentucky had very strong home sales in September 2013. Sales increased almost 24% during the month as compared to September 2012.

Statistics for September 2013 Compared to September 2012

  • 23.68% Increase in sales units
  • 16.70% Increase in average price ($161,694)
  • 10.79% Increase in median price ($136,000)
  • 79 Average days on market (as compared to 90 in 2012)

Year-To-Date Statistics from January – September 2013

  • 18.35% Increase in sales units
  • 7.22% Increase in average price ($156,039)
  • 5.47% Increase in average price ($135,000)
  • 85 Average days on market (as compared to 94 in 2012)

Mortgage interest rates are still low. It’s a great time to buy and sell a home.

Marcie Rottinghaus, Vice President and Sales Manager of the Sibcy Cline Campbell County office, has been elected as a 2014 Director for the Northern Kentucky Association of Realtors.

Marcie joined Sibcy Cline Realtors in 2009. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University and was a human resources manager and new homes sales representative prior to her affiliation with Sibcy Cline.

Marcie resides in Cold Spring, Kentucky. She is active in St. Joseph Parish and School with various volunteer commitments, including coaching, tutoring and fundraising.
