Sibcy Cline Vandalia – Sibcy Cline’s most-northern office – received some updates to its interior space. The office now features new carpeting, painted walls, artwork, conference furniture as well as a new kitchen.
To celebrate these improvements, Mike Pierson, Vice President/Sales Manager of Sibcy Cline Vandalia invited several Vandalia city officials to attend an office meeting. Mayor Arlene Setzer, City Manager Jon Crusey and his assistant, Julie Trick presented a “State of the City” report to Vandalia Sibcy Cline agents while they also admired the office’s new look.
Can a neighborhood have a smell to it? Yes it can.
The neighborhood this blogger lives in is three miles away from a Keebler Cookie factory. The smells from this manufacturing plant are glorious – with mouthwatering aromas of chocolate wafting through the air. It is intoxicating and delicious. An empty tummy will start to growl from the tempting whiffs of deliciousness. When I smell the Keebler chocolate in the air, I always think of the book, Willy Wanka and The Chocolate Factory.
As a child, I remember riding in the car along Vine Street through St. Bernard and smelling Ivory Soap being created. And at the ballpark, the aromas of hotdogs and popcorn are so enticing. There are so many different smells for different areas.
Sibcy Cline Vandalia agent, Steve Seboldt, sells homes in Harrison Township, where the Cargill factory produces both a sweet syrup (for its corn syrup production) as well as animal feed. Depending upon the day and air conditions, it can either smell sweet or pungent. Read more about this neighborhood here and how Steve still sells homes there, whether it is an odiferous day or not!

Sibcy Cline Vandalia was busy this weekend in Tipp City. It was the annual Christmas in the Village Home Tour and the office sponsored a booth.
Agents served warm, spiced cider along with homemade cookies. (Everyone in the office baked at least three dozen cookies – nothing was store bought.)
The event had nearly 1,500 tickets sold for the tour of six historical homes that were all decked out for the holidays.
The agents were cold, but warmed up splendidly handing out all of their treats!
Sibcy Cline Vandalia hosted a United Way Auction on October 25, 2013 and raised $1200! Sibcy Cline agents and their friends, clients and families enjoyed getting together and bidding on some fun baskets and other items.
Sibcy Cline Agent and Auctioneer Jon Carr led the bidding process, accompanied by assistant Alec Pierson (son of Mike Pierson).
This fun event even had a Count The Cheese Ball raffle. There were 1991 of the cheesy treats!
