Learn about Florence, Kentucky’s Parks

FlorenceYall7The City of Florence is the second largest city in Northern Kentucky and has eight parks to enjoy:

Florence Nature Park
This park has 15 acres with walking trails, granite animals for the kids to climb on, a 24×24 gazebo (that is available to reserve at no charge). The Evelyn M. Kalb Gathering House can be rented and has a brick patio, grill and landscaped gardens. See a map here.

Lincoln Ridge Park
Enjoy 15 acres on this park with a basketball court, playground, picnic shelter, dirt trails as well as two clay ball fields with dugouts. Two enclosed tennis courts are also available. See a map here.

Orleans Park
This park has 11 acres and features a shelter with picnic tables (available for reservation). The park also has a playground, basketball court, open space athletic field, sand volleyball court, stocked lake for catch-and-release fishing as well as a walking trail. See a map.

South Fork Park
With a nautical theme, this 42-acre park is the largest Florence park. A masonry shelter with picnic tables is available for reservation. The playground includes a swing set and spring rockers. There are a volleyball and basketball courts available. A bike path is available along with natural wooded and meadow areas. Children can enjoy a mounded earth sculpture. See a map.

Stringtown Park
Stringtown Park has a Camelot theme and includes a playground of play structures, climbing station and swing set. There is a basketball court as well as four fitness stations. A shelter with picnic tables and grill are available for reservation.  There are two concrete cornhole sets – you need to bring your own bags to toss. People also enjoy the open green space and a seat wall. See a map.

Niblack Memorial Park
There are 4.5 acres in this park that is home to the Senior Activity Center.

Walnut Creek Park
Walnut Creek Subdivision is home to this 2.5 acre park. Enjoy a ball field and open play area.

Florence/Booke County Skate Park
This 20,000 square foot park is designed for those who enjoy in-line skating, roller blading and skateboarding. There are beginner, intermediate and advanced areas with elements to challenge all. There is a shelter area and spectator area.
