The Sweet Sweats for Love clothing campaign was a success! From January 1st through February 14, 2018, all Sibcy Cline branch offices collected new sweat clothes for area foster children. Clothing poured into the offices and the result was the donation of over 1,200 sweat shirts and pants.
This is the fourth year Sibcy Cline Realtors has partnered with Julie Phillippi-Whitney of Phillippi-Whitney Communications to provide needed items for area foster children.
The sweatpants and sweatshirts were given to Hamilton County Job & Family Services, who then distributed to foster children throughout the tristate region. Clothing was also donated to the Dayton Artemis Center, a Domestic Violence Resource Agency that serves Montgomery and Greene counties.

For the fourth year in a row, Sibcy Cline has partnered with Phillippi-Whitney Communications for a collection of items to benefit area foster children. This year, the items are sweat clothes including sweatshirts, hooded-style sweatshirts and sweat pants for kids ages 5-18 years old. The community is invited to drop off new items with tags at any Sibcy Cline location through February 14, 2018. Sibcy Cline has a goal to collect 1,000 pieces of clothing.
The Need for Clothing Is Great
Moira Weir, director of Hamilton County Job and Family Services, says, “Children’s Services agencies across the state have had a large increase in the number of children coming into care during the past two years, partially because of the region’s heroin epidemic. Keeping up with their needs can be difficult. A drive like this really helps and can make a difference to children throughout our region. All of the sweatpants and hooded sweatshirts will be distributed by Hamilton County Job & Family Services and other partnering organizations serving our foster children, and will be dispersed on an ongoing basis as we receive them throughout the collection period. These small donations will make a big difference in the lives of our children!”
In Hamilton County there have been 3,500 children in foster care for the past year with about 1,200 children in their system on any given day.
